The Covid 19 pandemic has had terrible consequences on the health of the nation and the business landscape.
However, there have been some things that have been made easier during lockdown. One of them is having the opportunity to take a step back and re-think our business model.
Like many marketing services businesses we typically work at 100 mph, the same way we have done for too many years to mention. We have achieved a state of “Covid Clarity”; a lot of which isn’t rocket science but we are now determined to make changes to the way we work and the work we do.
We have made some “never go back” commitments: –
- We’ll never travel for 3+ hours to go to our office, just because that’s what we did yesterday, last week, last month, etc.. There needs to be a Business reason to do that, working as a face to face team might be the reason, but there has to be a reason.
- We’ll never pay just to have an office address in Central London (Shoreditch or Clerkenwell) because that’s what you have to do to be a “serious digital agency”. That’s just a self-gratifying waste of money!
- We’ll never neglect our more junior team members, they are the big losers due to Covid 19, how will they be developed? How will they learn? Meeting, if only to develop our team professionally and personally, is something we’ll do any day of the week.
