As a registered Apple development partner we keep our eye out to see what’s happening in the App Store.
One development we’ve noticed is that page turning technology is getting more user-friendly. Hopefully, the days of clunky “digital brochures” are nearly over and we are moving towards solutions designed for tablets and other mobile devices. Solutions that fully bridge the gap between print and fully functioning web sites – that’s certainly what we are trying (and succeeding) to do for our clients.
As we see it just making websites design responsive or relying on HTML 5 is not the only solution because most websites are designed to work on a traditional keyboard and screen set up. The way people interact with their ‘phone or tablet is totally different, so the way we communicate on those devices needs to be totally different.
Digital agencies need to design differently for each channel, the investments worth it for clients because if you get that right, your communication will get your customers doing what you want, instead of getting frustrated with a clunky interface.
